Sierra Chart Pricing 2026: Packages, CME Data Fees & Total Cost

Reviewed October 9, 2026 | USD | US Futures Market
Sierra Chart pricing is often misunderstood because a service package is not the entire trading bill. Your costs depend on the software tier, Denali real-time market-data subscriptions, trading-account eligibility, brokerage commissions and exchange transaction fees. Comparing an advertised $46 platform lease with a bundled broker offer without normalizing those layers is a poor buying decision.
This guide analyzes the latest official Sierra Chart pricing documentation for Packages 3, 5, 10, 11 and 12. We explain the actual monthly and annual software fees, how CME Group data is priced, which package is appropriate for footprint trading, and what a realistic futures setup could cost.
Short answer: Five recurring packages cost $26, $36, $36, $46 and $56 per month. Integrated Packages 10–12 enable connections to supported external trading/data services and Denali. Eligible single-CME top-of-book costs $2 per month, CME depth $13.50, full CME Group market depth $40.50. Broker charges are separate; these data rates depend on account classification and verification.
Evidence standard: All published prices trace to first-party Sierra Chart documentation reviewed in October 2026; illustrative totals are mathematical examples, not verified customer invoices. No proprietary latency tests or live-trading experience are claimed.

Sierra Chart Pricing by Service Package

The basic split is between Base packages and Integrated packages. Sierra Chart pricing is only comparable when the relevant connectivity and charting features are identical. The software’s ability to display a tool does not ensure an appropriate real-time data entitlement.

Package 3: Basic research

Sierra Chart pricing for delayed research is different from a fully connected live trading stack.

Package 3 supports standard charting, historical data and the platform’s included delayed-data and simulated trading services, subject to provider rules. It does not unlock external service or Denali connectivity. A reader who only needs delayed charts and basic analytics might use this tier, but it is not equivalent to a complete real-time futures workflow.

Package 5: Advanced tools, Base connections

Sierra Chart pricing depends on whether advanced study features or external connections are essential.

Package 5 adds Numbers Bars, Numbers Bars Calculated Values, TPO Chart Study and Market Depth Historical Graph. The headline Sierra Chart pricing of $36 looks like Package 10, but the two offer different capabilities: Package 5 emphasizes advanced studies while Package 10 unlocks Integrated connectivity.

Package 10: Integrated connections

Sierra Chart pricing for an integrated setup begins with a connectivity decision, not a chart count.

Package 10 is the $36 Integrated tier needed for supported external trading/data connections and the Denali real-time exchange data feed, but advanced Numbers Bars and TPO tools belong in higher-feature packages. It is not the ideal choice for traders whose primary research depends on footprints.

Package 11: Advanced footprint + connectivity

Sierra Chart pricing for footprint traders must account for the separate exchange entitlement.

At $46, Package 11 adds advanced studies to the integrated capabilities. This is a common point of comparison for futures traders using footprint charts, TPO, historical market depth and broker connections. Sierra Chart pricing for a Package 11 workflow must still add the appropriate CME/CBOT/COMEX/NYMEX data entitlement.

Package 12: Market by Order functionality

Sierra Chart pricing adds an MBO premium only when order-level analysis is needed.

Package 12 costs $56 monthly and adds Market by Order, or MBO. The extra $10 buys order-level functionality where the feed supports it. The need for ordinary market-depth charts or footprint bars alone is not proof that a trader needs Package 12.
Practical rule: Select the lowest service package that meets the essential platform features, then calculate the cost of market data independently.

Denali Data Feed: The Second Bill

Sierra Chart pricing increases when you enable live exchange information. The official Denali table distinguishes eligible non-professional customers with qualifying funded accounts from professional users and users without an eligible account. Do not treat the discounted rates as universal.

Market-data subscriptionMonthlyWho qualifies?
Single CME, top of book$2.00Eligible non-professional funded account
Single CME, with market depth$13.50Eligible non-professional funded account
Full CME Group, top of book$6.00Eligible non-professional funded account
Full CME Group, with market depth$40.50Eligible non-professional funded account
Single CME, professional/no qualifying account$145.00Different subscriber classification

Source: Denali Exchange Data Feed — exchange fees. Exchange fees and eligibility are subject to change.
For ES, MES, NQ and MNQ, the CME exchange may cover the relevant symbols. Trading Treasury futures can involve CBOT, energy often involves NYMEX and metals can involve COMEX. If you trade contracts on several exchanges, buying only single-CME data will not necessarily cover the entire workflow.
Sierra Chart pricing for market depth differs from top-of-book pricing. A Level 1 entitlement provides best bids/offers; depth supplies additional order-book levels. MBO is a separate order-level feature in the software and requires appropriate data support. Ask for the exact entitlement needed for your study, rather than buying every feed by default.
For market-depth research, one must also distinguish live data from the platform’s delayed feed. Opening a delayed footprint study is not equivalent to having a real-time, verified futures market-data subscription.

Real Sierra Chart Pricing: Five Cost Scenarios

These scenarios add current published software and exchange fees but deliberately exclude broker commissions, clearing, transaction fees and taxes. Figures using non-professional exchange rates assume the relevant qualifying funded account and verification.

WorkflowSoftwareDataFixed monthly total
Delayed research, Package 3$26$0$26.00
CME Level 1, Package 10$36$2$38.00
Footprint + CME depth, Package 11$46$13.50$59.50
Footprint + full CME depth, Package 11$46$40.50$86.50
MBO + full CME depth, Package 12$56$40.50$96.50

The most useful finding in Sierra Chart pricing is that Package 11’s $46 monthly software fee can translate into a $59.50 eligible single-CME depth stack or an $86.50 eligible full CME Group depth stack before brokerage charges. That difference matters more than comparing only the $46 and $56 software tiers.

How to calculate commissions correctly

Sierra Chart pricing and broker commissions should appear on separate lines in your calculation.

A filled contract side is a separate cost unit. Suppose your selected broker quotes an all-in execution price of c per contract side. If you trade 100 sides in the month, your total is fixed platform + market data + 100 × c. At an illustrative $1.50 per side, the Package 11 single-CME depth example would equal $59.50 + $150 = $209.50, plus applicable taxes. The $1.50 is hypothetical, not an official broker rate.

What if I do not qualify for non-professional CME fees?

Sierra Chart pricing can change substantially when exchange subscriber classification changes.

If the account instead requires the published $145 single-CME professional/no-eligible-account line, Package 11 plus that entitlement would total $191/month before execution costs. This is why Sierra Chart pricing research must validate the account’s exchange status before making a recommendation.

A simple break-even decision

If you need footprint studies, Package 11 is $10 per month more than Package 10, or $120 per year before discounts. If that capability is central to the workflow, it may be a reasonable software expense. If not, buying Package 11 solely because it has a higher number is unnecessary.

Multi-Month Discounts and 12-Month Ownership Costs

Sierra Chart pricing offers lower effective software costs when service-package usage time is purchased for three, six or twelve months. The vendor currently lists discounts of 15%, 25% and 35% respectively. These discounts apply to the listed package purchases, not automatically to real-time exchange-data bills.

PackageMonthly3-month total6-month total12-month total
3$26$66.30$117.00$202.80
5$36$91.80$162.00$280.80
10$36$91.80$162.00$280.80
11$46$117.30$207.00$358.80
12$56$142.80$252.00$436.80

For Package 11, twelve separate months total $552 while the published annual package is $358.80. That saves $193.20 on the software component. Exchange fees, subscriptions and broker charges remain independent. The headline annual discount must not be applied to costs that are excluded from its terms.
Sierra Chart does not offer a one-time lifetime software license. This is stated explicitly in the official package documentation. A fair Sierra Chart pricing comparison with purchased-license competitors therefore uses a common ownership period and includes each product’s update, data and execution costs.
If your workflow is still evolving, a shorter initial lease can provide flexibility even at a higher effective rate. Test the target broker connection and necessary studies before committing to twelve months of software time.

Order Flow, Numbers Bars, TPO and MBO

Sierra Chart pricing does not make an advanced feature useful unless the strategy actually requires it.

Sierra Chart pricing should be matched to specific tools rather than broad labels such as “advanced.” Package 11’s Numbers Bars and calculated values are relevant to footprint traders. TPO, Market Depth Historical Graph and advanced order-flow work likewise require attention to package features and data feeds.
Market by Order is not the same as regular market depth. Package 12 is for workflows requiring order-level information; Package 11 may already suffice for price-level depth and conventional bid/ask footprints. Data history, symbol coverage and exchange permissions must still be validated separately.
Broker connectivity: Integrated packages connect to supported external services, while Sierra Chart also describes Teton as a separately documented internal routing option. The Teton service itself has no per-transaction routing fee from Sierra Chart, but brokerage commission, clearing and exchange fees can still exist. Its exact compatible broker and account requirements should be verified before selecting software based on a routing claim.

Free Trial, Account Verification and Billing

Sierra Chart pricing should be validated against trial restrictions before long-term payment.

New users receive a documented 21-day Sierra Chart trial, with restrictions on historical intraday coverage, permitted symbols and external trading-service access. The trial is not a substitute for a verified paid real-time CME configuration.
Billing uses account usage time and an account services balance. A supported paid trading account can affect non-professional exchange eligibility, but a simulation or prop-firm evaluation account does not automatically meet the relevant criteria. Sierra Chart pricing varies significantly with these conditions.
See the official Trial Account and Purchase Information pages. Confirm account verification, recurring fees and exchange cancellation terms before paying.

Sierra Chart vs NinjaTrader: Comparing Equivalent Stacks

Comparing Sierra Chart and NinjaTrader is useful only when the same use case is measured: CME access, Level 1 or Level 2 data, footprint tools, order routing, trade frequency and all-in commission costs. NinjaTrader’s platform/broker structure is different, so a software-only comparison can be misleading.
The correct comparison asks which tool supports your specific strategy execution and research needs at a verifiable total cost. We maintain a separate NinjaTrader vs Sierra Chart guide for platform features, whereas this page focuses on Sierra Chart pricing and market-data economics.
A lower monthly subscription does not guarantee a better trade execution outcome, especially if it forces users to abandon required workflow controls. Get a written fee schedule from every broker before deciding.

Ten Checks Before Choosing a Package

Use this checklist to confirm Sierra Chart pricing with the correct account and data settings.

  1. Identify the exact instruments and exchanges traded.
  2. Verify whether a single CME entitlement covers your contracts.
  3. Confirm account classification and funded brokerage eligibility.
  4. List the study features required: TPO, Numbers Bars, depth history or MBO.
  5. Select Base or Integrated connectivity deliberately.
  6. Compare the one-month software price with annual commitment totals.
  7. Confirm the actual Denali and exchange entitlements required.
  8. Get all-in broker execution prices per filled contract side.
  9. Test simulation, risk controls and data reconnection before going live.
  10. Check account balance, renewal terms and cancellation of unused services.

The sensible approach to Sierra Chart pricing is to record these details in one spreadsheet or written budget before funding any account. Software subscriptions and futures leverage should be evaluated separately.

Sierra Chart Pricing: Frequently Asked Questions

How much is Sierra Chart per month?

Official one-month rates are $26, $36, $36, $46 and $56 for Packages 3, 5, 10, 11 and 12. Live exchange data and brokerage charges are separate.

What does Package 11 cost with real-time CME market depth?

For an eligible non-professional account, $46 for Package 11 plus $13.50 for single-CME depth equals $59.50/month, before brokerage charges and taxes.

What is the difference between Packages 5 and 10?

Both cost $36 monthly, but 5 is Base Advanced without normal external/Denali connectivity, while 10 is Integrated Standard for supported external/Denali connectivity without the advanced study pack.

Does Package 12 include exchange fees?

No. Package 12 adds software MBO functionality; real-time exchange data subscriptions are separate.

Does Sierra Chart have a free trial?

Yes. The official trial documentation describes 21 days of trial access, subject to data, history and service restrictions.

Can I buy a lifetime license?

No. Sierra Chart officially states it does not offer a one-time permanent license.

Why would a professional trader pay more?

Exchange subscriber classification and a qualifying funded-account requirement determine which market-data fee schedule applies. The professional/no-qualifying-account CME depth fee is higher than eligible non-professional rates.

Do Sierra Chart fees cover futures commissions?

No. Brokerage commissions, clearing and exchange transaction fees must be checked with the selected broker.

Should I choose 11 or 12 for footprints?

Ordinary Numbers Bars and TPO research generally point to 11 with appropriate data. Select 12 only if the workflow genuinely needs market-by-order functions and a compatible feed.

Are longer subscriptions cheaper?

The vendor offers multi-month software discounts up to 35% for twelve months, but fees for exchange data and broker execution do not automatically receive that discount.

Verdict: Budget All Three Cost Layers

Sierra Chart pricing should always be read as a combination of software, data and execution. Package 3 can fit limited research; Package 10 supports integrated connectivity; Package 11 combines that connectivity with advanced footprint tools; and Package 12 adds market-by-order support for specialized workflows.
For eligible non-professional CME traders, a documented Package 11 plus single-CME depth configuration is $59.50 before brokerage costs. Other account classifications and exchanges can change that amount materially. Never treat a historical exchange quotation as a universal future bill.
Confirm Sierra Chart pricing on the provider’s site before paying, compare your own broker statement, and prioritize tools that match a tested strategy rather than software marketing claims.
